Wolf House

As other First Nations of the Northwest Coast, the Gitxsan work within a system of governance commonly known as the "potlatch". The term "potlatch" is not Gitxsan. The Gitxsan refer to this ceremony as the "yukw" or feast. Within the feast hall Gitxsan House Groups, known as "wilps", validate their title, rights, and position within Gitxsan society by demonstrating and recounting their House's ada'awk (or oral history). The Wolf House presents the Gitxsan "yukw" and describes the many traditional inheritance laws of this governing system.

The Wolf House is also used by 'Ksan Performing Arts Group during the summer months for their performances of "Breath of our Grandfathers".
